Women's Sportswear Designer

We're beginning a confidential search for a talented Women's Sportswear Designer on behalf of a growing apparel company. While this opportunity is still in the early stages, we're looking to connect with exceptional design talent ahead of an upcoming hiring need. This role will focus on designing women's casual sportswear, making it an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong commercial eye, loves identifying emerging trends, and enjoys creating product that balances style, comfort, and wearability.
In office Monday - Friday
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design seasonal collections for women's casual sportswear.
Research trends, color direction, fabrics, silhouettes, and market inspiration.
Develop creative concepts that align with the brand's vision and customer.
Create sketches, CADs, and presentation materials for seasonal collections.
Partner with product development and cross-functional teams to bring products from concept through production.
Source fabrics, trims, and materials that support the design vision.
Participate in fittings and make design revisions throughout the development process.
Stay ahead of industry trends and identify opportunities for new product ideas.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience designing women's sportswear, casual apparel, or contemporary fashion.
Strong understanding of trend forecasting, color, fabric, and silhouette.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Excellent sketching and CAD skills.
Knowledge of garment construction and product development.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
A collaborative mindset and passion for creating commercially successful products.
