Associate Fashion Designer

We're partnering with a growing apparel company looking for a creative and trend-focused Associate Fashion Designer to join its design team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in Junior or Young Contemporary fashion who enjoys bringing fresh ideas to life—from trend research and print development to final production.

In office Monday - Friday 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist in the design and development of seasonal women's apparel collections from initial concept through production.

  • Research fashion trends, color palettes, fabrics, trims, prints, and competitive market trends to inspire each season.

  • Develop original print concepts, artwork, and layouts that align with the brand's aesthetic.

  • Create CADs, technical design packages, and presentation materials to support product development.

  • Partner with overseas vendors on print strike-offs, color approvals, and design execution.

  • Participate in fittings and collaborate with Technical Design to communicate revisions and ensure product accuracy.

  • Organize design files, fabric and trim libraries, print archives, and seasonal samples.

  • Stay informed on emerging trends and bring fresh ideas to the team throughout each season.

  • 3+ years of fashion design experience, preferably within Junior or Young Contemporary apparel.

  • Strong understanding of women's fashion trends, color, print, and silhouette.

  • Experience developing prints, patterns, and graphic artwork.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Strong sketching, CAD, and technical drawing skills.

  • Working knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and print techniques.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to contribute in a team-oriented environment.

  • Experience working with overseas factories and vendor communication.

  • Background in print development and women's apparel.

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
