Sr. Technical Designer

A Los Angeles–based fashion label is seeking a Sr. Technical Designer to bring precision, craftsmanship, and consistency to every garment produced. This role bridges design creativity with technical execution, ensuring every piece fits beautifully and meets the brand’s elevated standards.

The ideal candidate is highly detailed, fluent in garment construction and pattern development, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where collaboration with design, production, and factory partners is key.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Partner closely with Design during fittings to identify and execute pattern and construction adjustments.

• Translate fitting notes into detailed technical updates and communicate with factory partners clearly and effectively.

• Maintain accurate spec sheets, tech packs, and BOMs, ensuring data integrity across all stages of development.

• Oversee sample tracking and fit approvals, ensuring alignment with seasonal calendars.

• Review graded patterns post-approval and maintain comprehensive records of fit, photo, and TOP samples.

• Work cross-functionally to uphold the highest standards of fit, finish, and quality across assigned product categories.

REQUIREMENTS 

• 5+ years of experience in technical design within women’s contemporary, active, or ready-to-wear apparel.

• Strong knowledge of fit, construction, and patternmaking fundamentals.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

• A proactive, solution-oriented approach and passion for refining product quality.
