Senior Handbag Designer

 An established and growing fashion brand is seeking a Senior Handbag Designer to lead the creative direction and execution of women’s handbags. This role blends elevated design sensibility with strong technical expertise, owning product from initial concept through final production.

You’ll play a key role in shaping seasonal collections, driving innovation in materials and construction, and delivering trend-right product that aligns with both brand vision and commercial goals. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where creativity and precision are equally valued.

This is in office Monday - Thursday and WFH Friday

RESPONSBILITIES 

• Lead end-to-end design of women’s handbags across multiple categories and seasons

• Develop original concepts, sketches, and seasonal direction aligned with market trends

• Own product lifecycle from concept through development, sampling, and production

• Create detailed tech packs and specifications for development and factory execution

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, sourcing, and production

• Source materials, trims, and hardware balancing quality, cost, and design intent

• Analyze runway trends, competitive landscape, and emerging consumer preferences

• Review prototypes and samples, providing clear, actionable feedback

• Manage multiple product lines while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining accuracy

• Ensure designs are both fashion-forward and commercially viable

REQUIREMENTS 

• 6–10+ years of experience in handbag design

• Strong expertise in handbag construction, materials, and hardware

• Proven experience managing full design lifecycle from concept to production

• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

• Experience creating tech packs and working with overseas factories

• Strong understanding of product development timelines and processes

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to manage high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
