Controller

Los Angeles born and bred women's apparel company is creating a strong infrastructure within their accounting and finance team. They are looking to bring in a Controller who can support the VP of Finance and the CFO on a daily basis. This is a key leadership position and will be responsible for leading the accounting department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all aspects of accounting services including financial reporting, processing internal controls, and systems.

• Implement audit findings with a view of improving the business’s overall financial performance.

• Reports and delivers revenue quarterly/annual processes to the executive team and board members.

• Work with the company’s CPA for the completion of annual tax preparation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors's degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field is required. CPA or MBA desirable, but not required

• Min 7 years of working experience in a leading accounting position within a fast-paced and dynamic position, preferably as Head of Accounting or Controller.

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In-depth

• Must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, having an ability to influence and lead a cross-functional team as well as senior business leadership.
