Luxury womenswear brand in New York City is looking for an experienced Ready To Wear Designer to join its intimate and fast-paced team. This role will play a key role in shaping elegant, made-to-order items and bespoke womenswear collections that celebrate craftsmanship, heritage, and modern femininity. With a strong foundation in garment construction and a refined eye for detail, the ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in high-end fashion and a passion for both artistry and execution. Print and embellishment development experience is essential, along with a collaborative and communicative work style.

This is a full-time, on-site position - THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Collaborate closely with the Design Director and Atelier team to develop seasonal collections and one-of-a-kind pieces

  • Lead surface design, textile development, and color story ideation

  • Create and refine garment sketches and CADs

  • Assist with fittings, technical design, and production revisions

  • Support sample development and participate in hands-on studio work when necessary

  • Liaise with local vendors, suppliers, and fabricators

  • Ensure consistent execution of design vision through production

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Fashion Design (BFA)

  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in luxury fashion in a studio or atelier setting

  • Strong expertise in high-end garment construction, print design, and embellishment

  • Deep knowledge of textiles and superior color sensibility

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator); Adobe Fresco experience a plus

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Respect for craft, team collaboration, and studio process
