A dynamic, fast-scaling consumer company headquartered in Los Angeles is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its accounting function and help drive operational excellence. This in-office leadership role (3-4 days/week) blends hands-on financial management with strategic oversight to support ongoing expansion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

• Mentor, hire, and manage a high-performing accounting team.

• Oversee AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reporting functions.

• Manage inventory-related accounting, cost tracking, and reconciliations.

• Maintain and improve internal controls and financial systems.

• Collaborate with tax advisors and auditors to ensure compliance and timely filings.

• Spearhead NetSuite optimization and reporting efficiencies.

• Deliver financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.

• CPA certification is required.

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

• Experience working with physical product businesses is essential.

• Background in the beauty, CPG, or lifestyle space is a plus.

• Advanced NetSuite and Excel skills.

• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
