Sr. Designer - Juniors
Orange Country, CA
Now hiring a Senior Designer to help build a new Juniors women’s apparel business for a major retailer. This is an opportunity to influence the product from the beginning, rather than stepping into an established assortment. You’ll design across knit and woven tops, dresses, soft bottoms, and other non-denim categories while working closely with the customer, internal teams, and overseas development partners.

RESPONSIBILIES
Create trend-right, commercially viable Juniors apparel across multiple categories.
Build seasonal concepts around color, print, fabric, silhouette, and key trends.
Develop original sketches and CADs using Adobe Illustrator.
Select fabrics, trims, washes, and details that give each collection a distinct point of view.
Own product development from initial concept through sampling and refinement.
Create technical packages and communicate directly with overseas development teams.
Present seasonal concepts, fabrics, and product ideas directly to the customer.
REQUIREMENTS
7-10 years of design experience in Juniors, young contemporary, or trend-driven women’s apparel.
Strong multi-category experience, especially tops, dresses, and soft bottoms.
Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills plus experience creating tech packs and developing product with overseas factories.
A strong understanding of the Juniors customer, fabric and trim development, retail price points, and trend interpretation is highly valued.
Experience presenting directly to major retail customers is a plus.
